Hello! I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at the Vancouver School of Economics (University of British Columbia). My research fields are behavioural development economics and political economy, with a focus on gender and caste. I am a Director at Women in Econ/Policy, an India-based non-profit working to reduce the gender gap in economics and public policy.
I received an MA in economics from Ashoka University and a BA in economics from Fergusson College, Pune. Before starting the PhD, I was a research associate at the Behavioral Development Lab at J-PAL South Asia, where I worked on projects related to mental health.

Women in Econ/Policy
Women in Econ/Policy (a registered non-profit) is an India-based organisation working to correct the persistent gender gap in economics and policy.
We are a community of 2000+ women in the early or mid stages of their careers. Membership is restricted to individuals who identify as women, and is — and will always remain — free.
We send members a fortnightly newsletter curating job opportunities, scholarships, and fellowships. Members stay connected through a WhatsApp community, as well as city- and career track-level chapters. We are also currently working with eight colleges across India to provide resources and mentorship opportunities at scale (funded by the IEA-WE initiative).
